Membership Meeting

Attendance- Jeanette Dorsey, Sue Hopper, Gail Dunbar, Peggy Hewes, Mary Downing, Beth
Levine, Diane Salts, Laurel Wilks, Jenette Mackey-Gersich, Kendra Brenkert

Meeting called to order at 7:10 at the Keg in Factoria.

Treasurer- $6666 approx, Mary reported that we had been given a donation from the estate of  Patricia Wilson in the amount of $1000.

Minutes from the May meeting were approved as printed in the newsletter, moved Jeanette,  second by Diane, carried.

Newsletter/ Web- the New WWWA web site is up and running, sign up to get notified of updates by emailing Beth.

Lure and Race Committee- Beth reports that the Lure trial had a great turnout with lots of nice Whippets but not many other breeds, great weather too. The Race meet in September was a nice small meet and nice weather. The next Race meet will be on Nov 8 and 9 at the Roy Polo Field.

Show Committee- Mary reports that we have our judges through 2011, next show  committee meeting on 11/15 after the whippet judging at Whidbey Island KC show.

Membership- Peggy gave the 1st reading for Cathy Hakola, sponsers  Susan Manthou and Janis Castle.    Dues notices will be out soon so please get those sent in as soon as you can.

Rescue- no report

Card Lady- Mary sent out a Card to the Wilson family with the Club’s condolences.

Old Business- Slate was read as published in the last Newsletter:
Mary Downing- President
Susan Manthou- Vice President
Peggy Hewes- Secretary
Janis Castle- Treasurer
Board members- Beth Levine and Jeanette Dorsey
Returning Board member- Chris Downing

Opened the floor for nominations, 3 times for each position and closed without any additional nominations. The slate stands to be voted on at the December meeting.

New Business- Moved by Mary to cancel the November meeting and hold a short meeting at the Christmas Party in December to vote. 2nd by Jenette,  motion carried.

Meeting adjourned at 8:10 pm.
