News from Mary Downing about this year’s picnic: The picnic will not be in June as originally published, but with the match on August 14th. It’s the week after our Specialty and a week before the CWA National in BC. Mary will put together an information sheet closer to the event.

We had gorgeous weather Saturday which always puts a nice spin on the day. Good company, good potluck. People were learning to foul judge, lots of puppies practiced. It was a great day. The meet was over by 2:30, and the girls (Heather, Hannah, Jade and I) had the oval set up by 4:30. Only [...]

As it turns out, I have a boy with a hitch in his right front getalong plus a girl with an imminent come-into-season.  So, we decided to have an impromptu  practice at the new field on Sunday instead of going racing. Practice will be at the same field as last Sunday – Cascade Family Fliers [...]

Unfortunately, we are going to have to cancel the practice this coming Saturday.  The field is knee deep in mud topped by soupy cow manure fertilizer.  Not a terrific combination to run in for dogs or handlers <g>!  And to top the mud, the weather forcast is for 70 pct rain the entire coming weekend.
