Jo Sowards brags...

I wanted to do a little braggin for WRAG.  We had a wonderful weekend a few weeks ago with lots of sunshine and great dogs and people who brought them to race. We had a a fantastic lunch table that looked like a food fest from a fancy resturant. And a marshmellow cookin' contest at the bonfire Saturday night, that Randy Swan won.    Attending was the youngest whippet and the oldest whippet and I am including a photo from that run.  Doris Hillen provided all our ribbons at the age of 85, and she is still out there loading whippets in the starting box's. The local folks from Washington, Oregon made up for most of the entries but we made new friends (The Jones') from San Diego, CA that made our event even more special.  Our vet Dr. Carl Conroy from Mid Columbia Veterinary Clinic came to see just what all these whippets that come into his clinic do.  He was so impressed with all the wonderful whippets, and dedicated dog people it has made a difference in his attitude toward the "Whippet Athlete".   His last statement before he left was.  "Boy those dogs are fast".

Oh, and Glen and I have a special brag... Our Shadow Run Marco is a new ORC as of Saturday when he tied for 1st place with his brother Kelp, with OB in the third place position and DJ in 4th

Our next Double NOTRA is June 5th & 6th and we want to extend an invitation to our friends in WWWA to come on over to the land of sunshine, and have fun with us.
