WWWA Annual Awards Banquet
The WWWA held its annual members awards banquet on Sunday, March 5, 2023. Awards were given out as follows:

Sounders – Dock Premier Excellent I, II & III - Jammin' Farseer Sounders FC
“Sounders is one of only 2 dogs in the world to achieve this title (both whippets!) Sounders still holds all of the records in all of the dock diving organizations. He will be 8 years old in April 2023.”
Kindle – Dock Senior - Jammin' Kindle Fire
“Kindle has always dock jumped for fun around 10' -14', this year when she turned 8, we let the grand kids (age 8 & 11) jump her and she had a personal best of 21' !!!!
Oats – Dock Master, Elite & Premier - Jammin' Steel Cut Oats
“Oats was returned to us from our Teri x Blitz litter and has become an amazing racer and dock diver! He's been invited to Dock Dog Worlds, NADD Nationals and the Purina Incredible Dog Challenge his first year competing. He has a personal best of 29'.”

“Eggy is our Teri x Blitz puppy and has taken to dock and racing just like her parents!"

New Oval Racing Champion, Whippet Racing Champion Excellent & Dock Junior & Senior
“Axl had a wildly successful 2022 - finished his Oval Racing Championship (ORC) at Versatility Weekend, earned 2 Dock diving titles in his debut season - with a personal best of 20’. One year after earning his WRC he earned Whippet Race Championship Excellent (WRCX). At the 2022 WRA/NOTRA Nationals he was 3rd of 91 WRA dogs and 3rd of 100 NOTRA dogs earning Best Opposite Sex and High Score Combined!”

AKC Grand Champion
Agility: ACT 1 and ACT 2
“Gidget finished her AKC CH Dec. 2021 and quickly finished her Grand in April 2022. She ended 2022 with a Group 2 in Wenatchee. In 2022 she also finished her NOHS Bronze quickly with NOHS group placements, a NOHS SBIS and a NOHS RBIS at a large all breed show.
She is a great performance dog. She started agility last year and received her first 2 pre-novice agility titles (ACT1 and ACT1J). In her debut flyball tournament, she earned her first 2 flyball titles (FD and FDX). On the coursing field, she excelled earning 10 points including a BIF before getting injured in July.
Gidget will be taking some time off in 2023 to be bred.”
Pote – New Agility: ACT 1J - Kamaay's Gold Standard JC BCAT ACT1J
“Pote is an amazing athlete and is super biddable. After just 5 weeks of agility training she earned her ACT1J pre-novice agility title. She also earned 1 of 2 Qs for her ACT1 title. In addition to 3 performance titles earned within a few months of arriving at my house, Pote earned 6 AKC champion bench points. She is an amazing frisbee dog finishing her first disc season in the top 10 in the handler division in the entire world. This year she will continue with agility, flyball, coursing, frisbee and showing. She is also training for dock diving and loves the water!”

Luke –ASFA Field Champion, Now Brystal Summit Luke Skywalker SC, FCh
“Luke finished his ASFA Field Champion in the spring. In the fall he won AKC BIF and is one major from finishing his AKC lure coursing Champion title.”
Zuma –ASFA Field Champion, Now Brystal Summit Alohamora SC, FCh
“Zuma also finished her ASFA Field Champion in April. In the fall she won AKC BIF in Oregon against a large group of whippets.”

Merritt – New US Champion, Now Am MSBIS Ch Can Ch Mckaden Flying Colors NC
“In very limited showing, Meritt finished her AKC Championship with two SBIS wins from BBE followed by two more SBIS wins - finishing the year in the top 20!”

Melanie Berger:
Ally – Grand Champion: Paragon's Tell Me Something Boy at Windborn
“Ally truly a versatile whippet - enjoying coursing, nosework, rally and obedience while being on a selective show schedule. She finished her Grand Champion with a BOB. The day after obtaining her GCH, she was awarded BOB and BOBOH, a Hound Group 3 and OH Group 4, in competitive Hound Groups. She upgraded her BCAT to a DCAT.
She earned her AKC Scentwork Novice (SWN) and Advanced Element titles in 3 (containers, interiors and buried) of the 4 elements (SCA, SIA and SBA). She earned her NW1 from NACSW, which is nosework at a whole different level; a dog has to same day qualify in all the elements (containers, interior, exterior and vehicle). The qualifying percentage is `50%.”

“Brystal Whippets campaigned 6 dogs for part or all of 2022, with 3 participating in both lure coursing and showing. All together they earned 14 Champion bench points, including a 3 and 4 point major, 40 ASFA points and 21 AKC coursing points including two Best in Fields (BIFs) in two states.”

“Gidget earned 53 Grand Champion points and 10 AKC coursing points including a BIF in 2022!”
Treadway Award (BOBs on the Field) – Raven, FC Deerpath Dark Horse, SC, CR
“Raven comes in season every six months so she misses events due to hormones. I also run her very strategically to keep her running honest, and forfeit her when there are no extra points to earn. Despite limited opportunities this talented little whippet won two AKC BOBs (and a BIF) and one ASFA BOB in 2022. She ran in just three ASFA trials, winning the open stake in each to earn all her placements and 60 points towards her 100 point FCH title. She also earned her first ARX points in CWA racing. I hope to finish both her ASFA FCH and ARX in 2023.”

“Geneva has produced 7 US or Canadian Champions in two litters, with 3 Grand Champions and a BISS dog.”

“Cobalt has sired 5 litters, producing 4 Canadian Champions and 4 Field Champions, with grandkids on their way to more titles. Zuma won a 4 point major with stiff competition and is one major from finishing her US title.”

“2022 Canadian National Specialty Winners Dog from BBE, Multiple Best Puppy in Specialty Show, Multiple Specialty Reserve Winners in Canada & USA, AKC Specialty Major Pointed, finished 2023 with 12 points and both AKC majors and CKC championship.”
