Show Committee Meeting

We are planning a show committee meeting at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in the bar at the Yankee Diner in the Holiday Inn in Renton which is located at 1 South Grady Way, Renton, WA 98055. It’s right off of I-405 at Hwy 167. Time is of the essence as no decisions have been made for next year yet and meeting on the weekends seems to have too many conflicts. We need to discuss the following:

  1. Make a decision whether to continue doing 2 shows as we did this year.
  2. Select Conformation Judge(s) for 2013 & possibly 2014.
  3. Select a Sweeps Judge for 2013.
  4. Assign (ask for volunteers) for the various jobs related our Specialty.

Attached is a pdf file with the same list of Whippet Judges that was sent out by AWC for the last round of voting for the National Specialty. We are not limited to these in you know of new provisionals or foreign judges, but these are all people who have been approved by AKC in the past.

It would be ideal if you read over the list and come with suggestions to the meeting. If you are unable to attend, feel free to send me your suggestions and I will bring them to the meeting. Please keep the following in mind when making your suggestions:

  1. We really want to hire Whippet Breeder judges for our specialties.
  2. The Hound Club has already hired their judges for 2013 so the only opportunity to share judges might be with some of the other sighthound clubs. This is important to keep in mind when hiring foreign judges due to the expense.

Also, attached is a copy of our past judges & BOB winners.

It would be great to have some idea how many will be able to attend, so I’d really appreciate an RSVP.
